A Board member is required to have a paid membership of $10 per year in the Association. Event and committee members are not required to pay membership fees (but being a member helps us make our events happen!).

Join us for an evening with candidates who are running in the August 7th Primary Election and seeking to represent Meridian Township in the Michigan State Legislature. The candidates who are vying the 69th District House seat are Democrats Teri Banas, Julie Brixie and Penelope Tsernoglou and Republican George Nastas. Also participating will be Nancy E. Denny, Republican candidate for the State Senate 23rd district.
Each candidate will first give a short summary about their background and their reasons for seeking elective office. The participants will then be asked to respond to several questions posed by the Forum Moderator. This will be followed by an opportunity for members of the audience to ask additional questions. The final section of the Forum will be time for the candidates to meet and mingle with those in attendance.
As in the past, the goal of the WNA Candidate Forum is to present a discussion about issues facing our state government and our community. We want to learn what each candidate sees as the principal challenges that lie ahead and what their vision is for solving these problems.
The WNA Board looks forward to seeing our neighbors and friends from the Wardcliff Neighborhood at the 2018 Candidate Forum.
