A number of residents in the Wardcliff neighborhood have had questions about the upcoming construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Park Lake Road and Burcham Drive. Below is information posted on the Ingham County Road Commission website. Meridian township staff has confirmed that construction on the roundabout will begin on June 11, 2012 and that the intersection will be closed to through traffic all summer. Excavation by the city of East Lansing to move water lines that pass through the construction site has already begun.

What a waste of our time and money! Burcham & Park Lake need a Traffic Circle like I need a hole in the head! One at Haslett Road & Park Lake would have made a lot more sense or spend that money on the crumcby road surfaces of Park Lake & Haslett Roads, which get a ton of traffic! Boo, Planning/Road commission!!
Great decision on the roundabout at Burcham and Park Lake. The traffic at the corner has increased over the years and turning left at any point is difficult. One only has to live in this neighborhodd to see the demand and a well thought out solution. Thanks to all who worked on this.
I like the idea of the traffic circle. Trying to cross Park Lake Rd will be easier. When traffic is coming down the hills on Park Lake it is hard to determine their speed. There is much hesitation when trying to go straight across or making a left turn.
I think the cost of $670,000 is low when you consider the number of accidents that have occurred there through the years; if it saves one person’s life, it’s worth it! Go going road commission and city of East Lansing
